No major sporting event would be the same without the tremendous contribution of its volunteers! They provide a key support to a wide range of operational areas, and create a fantastic atmosphere through spreading their friendliness and joy.
Volunteers for the Schleck Gran Fondo will need to dedicate a few hours of their spare time for the event, have an enthusiastic attitude towards making the race a great success, and provide athletes, spectators, journalists and special guests from all over the world with an unforgettable experience.
In total, there will be around 250 volunteers involved in the Schleck Gran Fondo. All volunteers have the opportunity to make new friends, meet other cycling enthusiasts, engage in new experiences, and be part of a wonderful and worthwhile event. There are several stages of the volunteer program, including recruiting, selecting and training, and finally organising their work during the event and appreciating their effort and dedication.
Candidates should be over 18 years-old, speak English and possess effective teamwork skills. Previous volunteering experience will be an additional advantage. The volunteers will provide support in areas such as Ceremonies, Transport, Media, Protocol, Language Services, Doping Control and Fan Services.
All volunteers will receive
• Workforce kit
• Public Liability Insurance
• Access to the Afterrace Party
• Certificate of appreciation
• Meals (Meal entitlement is subject to shift length)
